Welcome to A Gabby Gator. Hi, my name is Missy Hansen, and I was born and raised in LaBelle, Florida. I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelors of Science with a specialization in Dietetics and a Masters in Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship.

A Gabby Gator all began with a passion and a love for not only the University of Florida Gators but my love for an alligator. I grew UP in a small citrus town and always knew that I would go to the University of Florida and become a gator. After graduating with my masters, I wanted to fulfill my entrepreneurial yearning by starting something that combined my love of alligators, shopping and fashion.

The name ‘A Gabby Gator’ came from a conversation with my best friend, Cari. I was in search of a catchy and fun name that fit my personality as well as satisfied the idea for my business. As Cari and I were brain storming, I had this vision of the two of us talking and chatting, as we usually do. We both looked at each other and said, ‘What about A Gabby Gator?’ And with that A Gabby Gator was born. My first idea or creation was an alligator die cut, cut out and sewn on a t-shirt and the rest is yet to come. I am always looking for new ideas whether it is fashion, accessories or home goods that I can work a gator into. If you know me, everything in my house and office has a gator theme.

I want to thank my parents who have supported me financially and emotionally through this journey, my family, friends, and especially Cari, who has been my tester, model, brain stormer, supported and soon to be blogger. A big Thank You as well to all my customers who have supported me, Joey Wright, the designer of little Gabby (he took my vision and created exactly what I wanted), and to all of those who are visiting my site and are interested in my items. I specialize in collegiate attire and ideas, I may bleed orange and blue, but I can create your favorite team whether it be FSU, UCF or Georgia Bulldogs.
